Did You Know?
Kool Aid was invented in 1927 by Edward Perkins in Hastings, Nebraska. He found a way of extracting the liquid from Fruit Smack, a liquid concentrate drink, to leave just a powder. That powder was named Kool Aid and here we are today! There is still an annual festival held in Hastings called Kool Aid Days, celebrating the town's claim to fame!
